CREATION
From Painting to Place
NYMPH began with an original painting of three figures bathing beneath a dense garden canopy. The color, movement, intimacy, and sense of escape within the scene became the foundation for an imagined bath house and garden.
I pulled elements directly from the painting—rippling water, lush foliage, feminine forms, saturated greens, soft pinks, and warm natural tones—and translated them into a visual identity designed to feel like stepping inside the artwork itself.
What started on paper gradually became an entire world built around ritual, nature, and the quiet luxury of slowing down.

CHALLENGE
Building a World Beyond the Canvas
The challenge was to create a brand that felt connected to the original artwork without simply reproducing it across every touchpoint.
NYMPH needed to exist beyond the painting as a believable destination with its own personality, visual language, and guest experience.
The identity balances the organic imperfection of the artwork with a more refined hospitality aesthetic. Painterly illustrations sit alongside restrained typography, elegant monograms, botanical motifs, and architectural applications—allowing the brand to move between expressive and minimal while still feeling unmistakably NYMPH.

Interior / Exterior
Stepping Into the Painting
The physical environment extends the visual identity into an immersive bath house experience. Architecture, signage, tilework, textiles, stained glass, water features, and botanical details borrow from the shapes and colors found throughout the original painting.
Deep greens echo the surrounding forest, aquatic teals reference the water, and warm cream surfaces give the more expressive elements room to breathe.
Rather than treating branding as something applied to the space, I imagined the space itself as part of the identity—from the entrance plaque to pool mosaics, cabanas, staff uniforms, and intimate details discovered throughout the property.

MOCKUPS
A Little Closer to Eden
The final applications imagine NYMPH as more than a visual identity—they explore what it would feel like to actually visit.
The system expands across bath and body products, towels and robes, staff uniforms, silk scarves, totes, candles, amenities, glassware, signage, pool details, cabanas, packaging, and other objects encountered throughout a guest’s stay. Some applications allow the original artwork and botanical illustrations to take center stage, while others rely on a single monogram or subtle brand detail.
Together, the mockups create a cohesive experience where every touchpoint feels collected from the same secluded world: part bath house, part garden, and a little closer to Eden.
