CREATION

Turning the camera roll into something worth keeping.

Dos, Por Favor began with the things I kept photographing without really thinking about it—drinks on the table, mango cups, açaí runs, empanadas, parrots, tiled tables, cigarettes and the landscapes surrounding us.

I pulled those small moments out of my camera roll and rebuilt them through illustration, pairing hand-painted textures, imperfect typography and a warm, sun-faded palette with the feeling of vintage Colombian ephemera.

The result is a collection that feels collected rather than constructed: part travel poster, part scrapbook, part souvenir from a trip I wasn’t quite ready to leave behind.

CHALLENGE

How do you design a place you’ve already designed once?

This wasn’t my first Colombia series, which made the challenge less about finding inspiration and more about finding a completely new point of view.

I didn’t want to repeat the same visual language simply because the destination was the same.

Instead, I focused on what made this trip different. The illustrations became softer, richer and more intimate. Everyday objects replaced traditional destination imagery, paired with aged paper, deep greens, warm reds and handwritten details.

Rather than documenting Colombia broadly, Dos, Por Favor documents what Colombia felt like this time around.

A travel series for two.

COLOMBIA, CONTIGO

This trip was different because I wasn’t experiencing Colombia alone. My boyfriend and I spent our time building little routines without realizing they would become some of my favorite memories—ordering the same drinks, sharing meals, finding our spots, staying for one more round and collecting the kind of moments that seem insignificant until you look back at them.

That became the heart of Dos, Por Favor. “Two, please” is both the title and the thread running through the collection: two drinks, two orders, two people and one place experienced together.

The series isn’t meant to document our relationship literally. Instead, Ben exists in the details—the second glass, the other order, the shared table and the memories behind each illustration.

Colombia was the setting. Us being there together became the story.

SOUVENIRS FROM OUR STORY

Making the memories tangible.

The visual world expands beyond posters into the kinds of objects you might actually bring home from a trip: postcards, stamps, magnets, enamel pins, keychains, notebooks, mugs, totes, stickers, matchboxes, wrapping paper and woven textiles.

Each touchpoint gives an illustration a different life. A landscape becomes a blanket or notebook cover; a favorite drink becomes a magnet; a tiny ritual becomes a pin.

Together, they turn Dos, Por Favor into a fictional souvenir collection—objects designed to make fleeting memories feel a little more permanent.
